Rittmann Conference - 2014

The third edition of the A. Rittmann Conference is the opportunity to promote and encourage the scientific discussion on recent developments of research and monitoring activities in the framework of the Italian volcanology.

• SESSION 1– VOLCANO GEOLOGY AND STRUCTURE

• SESSION 2 - ERUPTIVE DYNAMICS AND DEPOSITIONAL MECHANISMS

• SESSION 3 – DYNAMICS OF MAGMA ASCENT AND EVOLUTION

• SESSION 4 – VOLCANO SURVEILLANCE AND HAZARD

During the conference two medals will be awarded:

• “A. Rittmann Medal” to the best young researcher.

• “Fratelli Gemmellaro Medal ” to the Italian expert in volcanology: Prof. Renato Cristofolini from the University of Catania

The on-line registration is 30 euro until September 30, 2014. After this date the registration will be 50 euro to be paid at the registration desk. Registration is free for students, research fellows, PhD students and postdocs.

Abstracts of the Conference will be published in a special volume of the “Miscellanea INGV”.
