Etna and Stromboli update, 23 January 2013
During the past week, two of Etna's summit craters - the Bocca Nuova and the New Southeast Crater - have produced a series of episodes of Strombolian activity, the latest of which occurred at the New Southeast Crater during the night of 22-23 January 2013. At Stromboli, no further effusive activity has occurred since the evening of 15 January 2013.
