Nella serata del 28 settembre 2011 è avvenuto il 15° episodio eruttivo parossistico dal Nuovo Cratere di Sud-Est dell'Etna dall'inizio di questo anno. La fase culminante di questo episodio è durata poco più di mezz'ora ma è stata più violenta rispetto a quelle dei parossismi precedenti; invece è stata emessa poca lava, formando due piccole colate che si sono riversate sulla parte alta della parete occidentale della Valle del Bove. On the evening of 28 September 2011, the New Southeast Crater of Etna has produced its 15th paroxysmal eruptive episode since the beginning of this year. The culminating phase of this episode lasted less than a half hour but was more violent than those of the preceding paroxysms; on the contrary lava emission was rather minor, forming two small flows that reached the upper part of the steep western slope of the Valle del Bove.
